The countdown begins…Only one. More. Week. Then I’ll be on my way to India, where the journey begins / continues.
First, I’ll be flying from Denver to Newark, where I will stay overnight and take some time to rest and gather myself. The following evening, I’ll fly directly to New Delhi, arriving around 9:30pm local time. By then it will be Friday evening, and I’ll have a few hours to wake up, figure out where the hell I am, grab a snack, find the “Plaza Nap and Shower”, and then meet up with my group and head to the train station. At 4am.
I know it will all be worth it. This is my mantra.
Borrowing from an older post I made on Facebook…
“Without knowing it, this journey began about 15 years ago, when my grandfather started listening to, and introduced me to, Deepak Chopra and Transcendental Meditation…
Several years later, I purchased this CD and was generally interested in learning more about the country and the culture, but had no idea where to start. About 2 years ago, I received another copy of the CD as a gift…
Last year, I casually started learning more about Hinduism and was inspired to bring in this statue (or “Murti”…) of Saraswati, goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom and learning…
This year, I am really diving in. I started going to yoga again…I made my own mala. I have learned about doshas, essential oils, sound therapy, chakras, mantras, and mudras…and how they are all connected…and I am LOVING it, and all of the amazing friends and mentors I have met…
And now…I have committed to continue the journey by TRAVELING TO INDIA! I will be meeting with a small group in October / November…and will probably start a blog to write about the adventure…
Life is pretty amazing…”
This is that blog…and here we go.
